 Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of quality programs for assigned projects and clients. This includes management and technical related issues, profitability of jobs, and the communication of quality related matters, to ensure compliance with standards of expectations and project contract documents.

This position is the primary liaison to clients regarding G3 services provided and the successful execution of those services. This position requires an excellent attitude and an ability to communicate and effectively collaborate with a very talented bench of internal and external team members/staff. This role generally requires work to be performed at G3’s office, although travel to client sites or other remote locations is likely at least 25% of the time.

 Key Responsibilities

Project Administration & Financial Management

• Manage assigned projects in accordance with G3 Project Management Guidelines
• Oversee project budgets, profitability, billing review, and change order development
• Review invoices each billing cycle and resolve issues within established timelines
• Support client collections and annual rate increase communications
• Maintain chargeability targets and manage projects to achieve bid-time profit margins
• Track project performance and report monthly on risks, profitability concerns, and corrective actions 
 
Project Operations & Quality Execution
• Implement project Quality Programs, including QC Plans, testing frequencies, staffing plans, and mobile lab coordination
• Attend project meetings, site visits, and pre-construction meetings as required
• Coordinate field staff assignments and ensure compliance with testing, sampling, and reporting requirements
• Review, sign, and distribute daily quality reports
• Maintain and update project documentation, certifications, and QC Plan amendments throughout the project lifecycle
• Proactively communicate staffing, testing, safety, compliance, and operational needs within required timelines

Client Experience & Business Development
 Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding G3 services and project execution
• Build and maintain strong client relationships aligned with a seller-doer mindset
• Review plans and specifications for new pursuits
• Generate technical sales opportunities through relationship development
• Attend industry and networking events and report insights and leads to leadership

Educational Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering, or Construction Management, or a construction-related field is preferred. 
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)
  • Registered Professional Engineer in California preferred
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing infrastructure construction projects specific to quality.
  • A strong background or interest in business development with a diverse client base including transportation, municipalities, and contractor clients
  • Project management skills including management of financial performance, client relationships, and liability control
  • Candidates with applicable combination of certifications, management experience, and education will be considered. Though not required for consideration
  • Ensure quality is achieved on all project deliverables
  • Experience with oversight of multiple complementary laboratory and field operations
  • Well-developed presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Project procurement experience, including proposal preparation, scoping, and pricing for a competitive edge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Compensation / Pay Scale:

  • $110k-$150k Annual Salary
